Overview
In this role, you will be a member of the Americas Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement Group within Deutsche Bank's Legal Department working on a variety of regulatory enforcement and civil litigation matters. You will serve as a key-contributor on the team overseeing and providing legal advice on litigation disputes and interacting with regulatory agencies. To be successful, we are looking for professional who are organized self-starters and team players. This role requires excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This team member will interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders, collaborate across functions, and manage and develop strategy on a variety of complex litigations and regulatory enforcement investigations.

• Oversee active, complex regulatory enforcement and civil litigation matters, assist with internal investigations, and handle pre-litigation transactional disputes
• Handle certain high-risk, complex subpoenas or other types of third-party process that are issued in connection with civil litigation and/or regulatory enforcement actions
• Report as needed to senior management within Legal and the relevant business line with respect to ongoing litigation and regulatory enforcement matters
• Retain, supervise and instruct outside counsel on civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including negotiating and managing budgeting and outside counsel spend
• Manage reputational risk attendant to active civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including working with Deutsche Bank Communications Office, Investor Relations, Compliance, HR and other control functions
• Perform other tasks attendant to the oversight of litigation and regulatory enforcement matters (such as entry and updating of matters in litigation matter management system, reporting to senior management, auditors, insurance carriers, etc.), as well as work on special projects within Legal How You'll Lead
• The successful candidate will gain extensive experience overseeing litigation and regulatory matters, as well as broadening their overall legal expertise and getting exposure to the operation of a global investment bank and its senior management
• Report to senior management within Legal and the business with respect to ongoing litigation and regulatory enforcement matters
• Collaborate with other infrastructure functions, such as Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime and Human Resources
• Work closely with Finance and internal and external auditors Skills You'll Need
• Extensive relevant experience at major law firm, corporate legal department and/or regulatory agencies, all involving oversight of civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters (government investigations, criminal or regulatory matters). Experience working at a regulatory agency or financial institution is a plus.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to create and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders
• Must be able to work on various matters at the same time, prioritizing tasks as needed.
• Must have a strong work ethic with attention to detail, and must be an independent, bright, eager self-starter, assertive, flexible and able to work well under pressure on time sensitive matters Skills That Will Help You Excel
• Extensive experience either at a regulator or handling the defense of regulatory enforcement matters is preferred
• Must be able to collaborate, cooperate and work well with others in a supportive and respectful manner Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,00 to $254,500 . Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
